Switching condominium management company
The owners make the decision at an owners' meeting; Habiteight takes care of handing over the documents and setting up the portal.
When it makes sense to switch
A few questions help you see whether the current management meets the building's needs. After each one, what changes with Habiteight.
Can you see the building's accounts without having to ask for them?
In the portal, every owner can see the statement of accounts, the budgets and the minutes.
Do you know, at any time, whether your fees are up to date?
The account statement shows the unit's balance and the status of each fee: paid, pending or overdue.
Is paying the fee simple?
You pay by MB Way or with a Multibanco reference, and the fee shows as paid once the payment is confirmed.
When you report a fault, do you know where the repair stands?
Each repair request shows its status: open, in progress or resolved.
Do you know when the next owners' meeting is?
The calendar of owners' meetings and the notices of meeting are in the portal.
When fees are overdue, do you know what is being done?
Fee collection follows set stages, starts with a friendly approach and always stays within the law.
If several of these questions go unanswered, it may be time to raise the matter at the next owners' meeting.
How to switch
The administrator is elected and dismissed by the owners' meeting.
The owners choose who manages the condominium. That is why the switch is decided at an owners' meeting: beforehand, proposals are requested so they can be compared, and the new management company is chosen when the meeting approves it.
After the approval comes the handover, in which the condominium's documentation passes to the new management company.
General information only; it does not replace legal advice on specific cases.
